A living record of the things I build, the people I learn with, and the ordinary life around it.
On 26 August 2026, I defended my M.Sc. thesis on a bilateral wearable data-glove platform. The work grew from my earlier interest in Bangla Sign Language and hand-motion sensing into a study of the recording platform itself. The result is pending; development of the work continues.
The poultry robot has already moved from manual operation to semi-autonomous work. I am now developing its next extension toward greater autonomy. It is not a new project disconnected from the earlier versions: it carries forward the lessons from the chassis, manipulator, embedded control and vision-integration work.
In a session for the IEEE HSTU Student Branch, I shared the research journey from a practical build toward documentation and publication. The subject came from the path I knew: beginning with questions, studying existing work, developing a prototype and learning how to explain it.
Teaching basic electronics, microcontrollers and line-following robots through the ECE Club of HSTU. These topics connect the first small experiments with the larger systems students may eventually build.
For my convocation, I arranged retired and burned-out components on my graduation cap. It was not a functional project, but a keepsake of everything I learned, built, broke and rebuilt. I shared the reflection on 23 November 2025.
The poultry-shed automation work became a journal article on low-cost IoT-based climate control for poultry growth and survival. My contribution included the farm and experiment setup, data collection and analysis.
Our team submitted a patent application for the Smart Poultry Feeder after its prototype development and project work. It is an application milestone, not a granted patent.
In January 2025, I continued my laboratory journey as a Research Assistant at RSSDL, HSTU. The role grew out of my undergraduate experience and kept me close to practical research: prototyping, system integration, collaborative development and wearable sensing.
For years, my room was more than a place to live: it was where components gathered, prototypes took shape and our team returned to unfinished work. In 2025, we moved that effort into a dedicated RSSDL laboratory. Helping organize the new workspace is one of the professional achievements I value most.
I started the streetlight in 2019 and kept returning to it through pauses, new requirements and other projects. In 2025, its long prototype-development chapter reached completion with research support from IRT, HSTU. Looking back, the project records much of my learning in embedded systems and integration.
I completed my B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering at HSTU in October 2024. The data-glove and semi-autonomous poultry-robot work were important parts of that chapter. Neither felt like a closed subject: both continued into the research I wanted to pursue next.
The transformer-theft prevention project became a paper in the 8th International Conference on I-SMAC. It brought together practical sensor integration, real-time alerting and the experience of documenting a system for a research audience.
An internship with Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited in Dinajpur formed part of my undergraduate professional experience.
The Smart Poultry Feeder began with sketches, but its hardest questions appeared during assembly. Parts had to fit into a compact space and move together in the intended way. Repeated prototypes, measurements and adjustments brought the mechanism closer to something we could take to a farm.
Our poultry-technology work received team recognition in the Smart Bangladesh Award 2023. I was listed as a team member in the district-level technical, team, government category. For me, it is a reminder of the supervisor, teammates and shared effort behind the prototype—not a story of working alone.
Poultry-shed automation required more than a controller that worked on a desk. The team needed an installation, an experimental setup and observations from the place where the system would be used. My involvement included preparing that setting, collecting data and working on the analysis.
Through ObstacleBot Odyssey and school-student robotics outreach with the IEEE HSTU Student Branch, I shared practical electronics and robotics learning with others. Teaching became another part of the engineering journey.
I served as Assistant Workshop & Seminar Secretary of the ECE Club of HSTU. The role connected student organization with the technical learning activities that mattered to me.
Serving as Vice Chair of the IEEE HSTU Student Branch from May 2022 to March 2023 changed the kind of responsibility I carried. The branch was already important to my technical learning; leadership asked me to contribute to the space in which other students could learn too.
I taught a Workshop on Raspberry Pi & Arduino through the ECE Club of HSTU. It brought together tools that had become part of my own learning and gave me a chance to share a practical way into embedded systems.
My period as Treasurer of the IEEE HSTU Student Branch added organizational responsibility to an already important technical community in my life.
I began as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at SSDL in January 2021. Small assignments grew into larger collaborative projects. I gradually took more responsibility for planning the work, coordinating the different contributions and helping mechanical, electronic and software parts function as a whole.
I served as an Executive Member of the IEEE HSTU Student Branch. This community helped keep my interest in engineering alive and gave me a place to learn with others.
I worked as an Assistant Trainer at NBICT LAB. Supporting training activities became an early part of my experience with teaching and organized learning.
IEEE mentoring helped me find a practical route back into engineering. With guidance from Ferdous Wahid, I learned to look for research papers, read what others had done and begin with a manageable problem. The streetlight project became that beginning: one requirement, one unfamiliar component and one lesson at a time.
I began studying Electronics and Communication Engineering at HSTU. It gave a formal direction to a much older interest in motors, lights, batteries and building things.
During college, I served in the Bangladesh National Cadet Corps as a Cadet Corporal. This chapter forms part of the community and leadership experiences that preceded university.
My school years included Scouting and service as a Senior Patrol Leader. I keep that experience here as part of the longer story behind the engineering work.
Coffee is one of my real interests outside research. These photographs keep a few experiments and familiar cups, sometimes beside an unfinished circuit and sometimes simply part of a break. Not everything I enjoy needs to become a milestone.
Hills, rivers, waterfalls and shared journeys around Bangladesh. This collection keeps a few memories outside the usual rhythm of the lab. The photographs can tell that part of the story without needing to become an academic achievement.
Nature is one of the places I look for inspiration: its structures, forms and mechanisms. Sometimes that observation becomes an engineering question. Sometimes it remains just something interesting to notice.
I began as the student asking questions. Over time, I found myself helping juniors with their circuits, projects and first attempts at research. Some now guide their own juniors. That continuing chain matters to me: the work is not only what I build, but also what other people become able to build.
Long before I knew how to describe a research problem, I wanted to know what made a toy move. I collected parts from old devices and experimented with motors, lights and batteries. School science fairs gave those small interests a place to become something I could show.
My electronics workspace gradually became a place for the team’s projects. Components, robots and unfinished assemblies shared the same room, and we kept returning to build, test and debug them. Making that work possible was part of the engineering.
I remember struggling to bring the vision-assisted software into the poultry robot. When the system finally ran, the reaction was immediate: it worked. That was one of the moments that made the effort of integration feel tangible.
Classes, projects and deadlines were only part of university life. There were also ordinary conversations and quiet views across campus. I keep a few of those moments here, beside rather than inside the professional record.
