Bilateral wearable data-glove platform

How can two wearable gloves record hand motion as one meaningful observation? My M.Sc. thesis developed and evaluated a bilateral sensing platform, bringing glove hardware, embedded software and a computer-based receiver together. Bangla Sign Language provides the application context. The work establishes a foundation for controlled hand-motion recording and future dataset development—not a finished sign-language translator.

Behind the project

This began with an undergraduate data-glove project. The later question was not simply whether a sensor could respond, but whether the two hands could be recorded, checked and brought together in a reproducible way.

My involvement

I worked on the development and experimental evaluation of the bilateral sensing platform as my M.Sc. thesis. The thesis was defended/presented on 26 August 2026, and the result is awaited.

The validated scope is measurement infrastructure for controlled future multimodal BdSL dataset development. It is not a completed translator.
