Making a laboratory before we had a room

My electronics workspace gradually became a place for the team’s projects. Components, robots and unfinished assemblies shared the same room, and we kept returning to build, test and debug them. Making that work possible was part of the engineering.

The space was informal, but the work was real. It gave us somewhere to combine the mechanical, electronic and software parts rather than leaving each contribution separate.

Later, when a dedicated laboratory became available, I helped organize the transition. The shared lab grew out of habits and working relationships we had already begun building.
