Proprioceptive haptics for robotic hands

An ongoing question about robotic hands: what might they learn about contact through feedback from their own motors? This work explores the relationship between actuation and perception. It is a separate research direction from my defended data-glove thesis, shared here only at an overview level.

Behind the project

My interest in robotic hands predates the current glove work. The data-glove platform became my M.Sc. thesis, but the question of sensing through motor feedback remains open in my own research.

My involvement

I am exploring the idea alongside my poultry-robot and data-glove work. It is separate from the M.Sc. thesis that I defended in August 2026.

No completed hardware capability or validated performance is claimed for this ongoing work.
