EEG-controlled prosthetic hands: a literature review

A systematic literature review of non-invasive EEG-controlled upper-limb prosthetic-hand implementation. The work examines how brain-signal acquisition, interpretation and prosthetic hardware have been brought together in existing systems. It supports my longer-term interest in assistive robotics while remaining a literature study rather than a prosthetic device I have built.

Behind the project

The interest in brain-controlled hands began early. Reviewing existing implementations was one way to study that question while developing the practical skills and resources needed for future work.

My involvement

I worked on the review with E. Ali. The portfolio distinguishes this manuscript from physical prototypes and from the separate proprioceptive-haptics direction.
